If your physician has requested for you to see a specialist and/or have a diagnostic test, in order to insure you receive the maximum benefits from your insurance company, this request has been forwarded to our Referral Department. We have a dedicated team of Referral Coordinators who review each request, contact your insurance company to verify the specialist you are being referred to is in network, and obtain any necessary referral authorization and/or pre-certification for diagnostic tests. In some cases, clinical documentation must be submitted for review prior to receiving authorization and/or pre-certification. This process can take 3 to 5 days to complete. If it has been more than 5 business days and you have not been contacted regarding scheduling your appointment, please call 843-820-3309 or 843-820-3418 to check the status of your referral.
